Hi friends and supporters! I pray all of you are well and holding up with the heat of our Florida summers. I’m enjoying tons of summer fun activities and a break from the normal schedule and I’m praying you are too. We are doing tons of new things at Armor Up. Thank you for all you do with your love, prayers, and support.

Exodus 14:13 “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you Today! The Lord will fight for you; you need only to BE STILL

We are definitely forming new partnerships so we can continue to grow our recovery community and continue to be a voice advocating for those suffering from addictions, human trafficking, and so much more.

NAMI Walk

$1,935 to support the National Alliance of Mental Illness! Armor Up and our friends at Celebrate Recovery did an amazing job raising money in support of NAMI and all that they are doing. Our Armor Up family and our friends at Celebrate Recovery all did an amazing job at raising funds in support of NAMI and all that they are doing in the mental health community. We got to connect with so many familiar faces like our friends Detective Justin Bradley and Sharon from YFC United, whom we met 2 years ago at Lake Eola for an overdose awareness event, and the list goes on. We had a blast walking, talking, and laughing with each other. Our God is the great connector! I myself have struggled with mental health issues since I was 9 years old and labeled manic depressive. I self-medicated my entire life to numb the way I feel. My feelings overtook and overwhelmed me. Today, I walk free from the chains of my addictions and all that held me prisoner. Our mess is our message, and now we can go and be the light and hope for those struggling. We do recover and become all that God intended for us to be. We can change our story! Thank you, Lord!

Sharell’s Graduation

Congratulations to Sharell for graduating from Armor Up and moving into the next stage of her life. Sharell, you have been an incredible house mom, and God has grown you exponentially in these past 4 years. You came in like any other woman, seeking healing and recovery. You had your defects and challenges, but you listened well, humbled yourself, and allowed God to work on your heart. God stepped you into the role as house mom, and we have all watched you blossom. Such a generous and loyal spirit. I am believing in all God has for you. We are so proud of you, Sharell. I consider you family and love you like my own! We know God is going to continue to do amazing things in your life as long as you keep seeking him first, getting in your word, being in community with your sisters, and putting God and recovery above all else. We pray God’s overwhelming blessing and favor over you and all you do in this next season of your life. We love you and God bless you!!!!

Victory House Garden

Thank you so much to our dear friends Barbara and Allison for coming to do some gardening and landscaping at Victory House. They did an amazing job helping us refresh our garden with some veggies and planting some beautiful flowers in the front. We are so grateful to all of our friends who come alongside us in whatever way they can to keep Armor Up beautiful. Thank you, Allison & Barbara, for all you do for us!

Journey Church Donations

Thank you so much to our dear friends at Journey Church, who donated tons of food items to Armor Up! We are also so grateful to our local churches, which partner with us to provide for the women at Freedom and Victory House. We love you, Journey!

Celebrate Recovery Training Conference

We had an AMAZING time at the Celebrate Recovery Training Conference in Warner Robbins, GA. We learned so much about the true heart of Celebrate Recovery and everything that God is doing through this ministry to provide whole family healing. We had so many incredible conversations, yummy meals, and lots of laughter.

Annual Beach Baptisms

On May 29th, 2025, our Motley Crew of women, their families, and friends all gathered on Bethune Beach to take part in an incredibly moving and Holy Spirit-filled beach baptism where I, Angella, had the honor of baptizing 7 very special people. God’s number of completion. This day was so special and anointed in many ways! The HOLY SPIRIT WAS ALL OVER US!!! This was a day of spiritual rebirth, drowning of the flesh and sin, and a resurrection of the new life in each of these women, and may I add, my precious grandson, who came to his GIGI and asked with tears in his eyes if he could be baptized. To be able to look into his eyes and speak the word over his life, that God would have me speak, and watch him melt in overwhelmed emotion, knowing he was feeling the magnitude of this profound, life-changing act and the great significance this moment would forever have on his life. He rose out of the water pure, sanctified, and ready to step into his God given purpose, releasing all of the pain, hurt, and troubles to stay behind in the water. You could never imagine the problems a 12-year-old boy could face in this big, confusing world. I have seen the struggle, torment, and the war for his life in my precious grandson. Not today, satan, not ever, on my watch! You lose! Thank you, Lord, for your divine timing and unfathomable love for us and especially for your little children. It just brings me to my knees every time I think about it! I watched a transformation right before my eyes. A public declaration of a new inner faith!!! LIVES were forever changed this day. It is FINISHED!!!

At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” 2 He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. 3 And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5 And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me. 6 “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.
Matthew 18:1-7

10 See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven. (and woe to you if you do) 11 What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? 13 And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. 14 In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish.

Matthew 18:10-14

Homeless Backpack Outreach

We wanted to share that it is time again for our Homeless Backpack Outreach. We use this day to go out into our community and share the gospel with the lost and broken while also providing them with everyday essentials like toiletries and hygiene products, snacks, socks, Bibles, etc. We have been so blessed to do this every year and have the opportunity to pray over, encourage, and bless our brothers and sisters who have lost their way, out of our abundance. We ask that anyone who feels called to do so please consider contributing in any way that you can. We have included below a list of items we have found to be very helpful, but if there is anything we are missing that you think could be useful, we would greatly appreciate it. We are so incredibly happy to say that we have received the 100 backpacks. Cash donations are also accepted through Venmo @armoruprecovery (please title: Homeless Backpacks).

Get Involved

Please pray that we can get a new home, Redemption House, soon, so we do not have to keep turning women in need of recovery away. As always, we rely on your support to make these things happen. If you have it in your heart to give, please visit our Get Involved page to see ways that you can help support our mission, either financially, directly on our website, through PayPal and Venmo(@armoruprecovery), or through volunteering.

Thank you again for all you do for ARMOR UP and our girls! We could not do it without you! We appreciate all your love, support, and prayers!

GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

May the LORD bless you and keep you and make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you!

May he turn his face towards you and give you his peace!
