We strive to give back to our community. Outreach projects give the women opportunity to be beneficial, active members of society.
Recovery Tools
We are invested and committed to helping you heal from the inside out so that you can learn to become an effective, productive, and active member of society. In addition to 12 Step Programs and step work, we offer workshops, guest speakers, and classes on topic such as:
- Goal Setting
- Conflict Resolution
- Organization
- Teamwork
- Spiritual Gifts
- Effective Communication
- Inner Healing
- And many more
Resources
We connect our women with the resources they need to get back on their feet.
We are centrally located within walking distance of everything you need, including 12-step meetings, public transportation, shopping, and our partners Christian Help, Christian Sharing, Celebrate Recovery, and Action Church.
Some services our partners offer include:
- Christian Help – Resume building, job searching, connections to counselling
- Christian Sharing- food, clothing, financial resource connections
- Action Church – small groups for activities, action recovery
- Celebrate Recovery – 12 step recovery groups
Community
We are not just a house, we are a home. We build a community of support, which is so important to the recovery process. Some ways we foster the internal community include:
- Weekly house dinners paid for by Armor Up
- Bible studies
- events, exercises, and workshops
- team building exercises
- and more
Outreach
As well as fostering an internal community, at Armor Up we also strive to give back to the community around us. Once a month, we have an outreach project. In the past, our outreach projects have included:
- Feeding the homeless
- painting stones with scripture to leave around town
- Christmas toy drive
- and many more
We help our women connect with and give back to their community through our outreach projects.
